2012 events

        TEAM TERASVIN of final year Mechanical Engineering students who have won the 1st prize in COMPUTER AIDED ENGINEERING DESIGN, conducted by SAE-SUPRA, which was held at Buddha International Circuit, NOIDA, DELHI on September 9th, 2012.

 Team TERASVIN Consists of 17 young talented mechanical engineers. These 17 members are some of the best engineering minds at Sona College of Technology.

 

2014 events:

The Chairman, Vice Chairmen, Principal, HOD and Staff Members of Mechanical Engineering are congratulating the SAE-SUPRA car project students for participated and won 1st Prize out of 85 Participating College in SAE SUPRA Race Car Competition Held at Chennai on 20th July 20

2016 events:

 In the event, SUPRA SAEINDIA 2K16 was held from 4th July to 9th July in Buddh International Circuit (BIC), NOIDA. On July 4th, we registered our team at the venue. On July 5th, we attended the first and the toughest screening process which is technical inspection held for 3 days. We passed the technical inspection and egress test on 7th July and only 49 teams made through it. On July 7th, the car was approved of the tilt test and brake test and obtained all the three certifying stickers. We cleared all the static events (cost presentation, business presentation and design presentation) on the same day. Among 173 colleges only 26 teams exculpated all those screening tests. On 8th July we completed all the dynamic events (Autocross, Skidpad and Acceleration). Endurance event was held on 9th July and among 26only 12teams completed the endurance by racing for 5 laps  (5.7 km/lap). Considering the timing in dynamic event and scores in the static event we were positioned overall 9th in the nation and topped second in TAMILNADU.
